Just found this post after trying to track down Russell's passive gaming stuff. I think there's heaps of room for this combined with the new bicycle hire scheme to encourage people to get on bikes more. Model which journeys are quicker by bike than tube or bus etc. Rewards for most miles clocked per day or week. Calories burnt. Red lights jumped (with points deducted obviously).
