This week, I'm featuring some awesome data visualisations from a new blog set-up by one of the Data Punks that inspired my President's Prize-winning paper: author, journalist and all round top bloke David McCandless. He was the guy who said "We don't want to read information any more. We want to see it. Feel it."
Information is Beautiful has been set-up to publicise and expand upon his forthcoming book, which is all about the wonderful world of data visualisation - and it features some truly illuminating ways of representing information.
As I've said before, people don't want numbers, they want stories. And this wonderful chart here, by td architects in Holland, speaks volumes about the political and social subtext that bubbles underneath the world we live in.
Makes you think, doesn't it?
And what more could you ask of a piece of communication than that.
